So you came here thinking that Brig’s place was all warm and fuzzy. We all know Brigwyn is a big ‘ol skirt chasing softy. Not only that, try to get him to speak his mind and he’ll hide behind so many more words than a car commercial’s disclaimer.
Well, you won’t get that from me. I’ll tell you what I think about something and don’t really care about your feelings. Oh sure, you’ll come after me and let me have it. I’m sure you’ll even go whining over to Brig about how some no good person is wrecking his precious Lodge. Don’t bother.
See, Brig and I go way back. Heck, almost 30 years now. See, Brig always tries to think his way through a problem. Me, pfft, thinking is just too hard. Like that stuff you guys call Theorycrafting? WTF is up with that? You try to do this funny Min/Max thing by reverse engineering the game. Well, you can see where Engineering can get you. Ever heard of a place called Gnomergan? Well, there you go. Because of someone’s Engineering mistake, we have fuzzy pink hair Gnome chicks asking for a ride from every one over 3 feet tall. Add to that the little spike haird nutjobs that can barely reach the toe of most Titan’s thinking they can bring down the Old golds. Yeah, that’s what we need, more Engineers out there running around.
Speaking of Engineers. Seen this thing they call Patch 3.2? Talk about a QQFest waiting to happen. The PTR Notes weren’t up for 2 minutes before we had the first Hunter slashing his wrist and pulling out his hair bemoaning the end of Hunters as we know it.
DUH!! Every new patch is the end of Hunters as we know it. That’s what makes our class so spectacular. Your bored with our spec? No problem, hang out a bit and you’ll see it change. But can we learn to just adapt and move on?
Heck no! We have to spend the next several weeks QQing over traps being reduced from a 60 second activation timer to a 30 seconds. Oh sure, you’re now going to tell me how the 30 second cool down tied to the 30 second activation timer means we can’t chain trap any more. Really? Your kidding me right? You can’t chaing trap because your used to having this HUGE safety margin in between to laydown traps. Now it’s a matter of trying to time trap, cooldown and activation timer to give yourself 10-15 seconds of pew pew time. Who cares! Besides, who really is out there using traps even in solo play now a days. Besides us old school Hunters, I can’t tell you the last time I ran into someone that actually knew what chain trapping was.
Oh, now let’s add to this how Roar of Sacrifice can sometimes, sorta be used to protect party members. Great job Blizz. Sure give us something that might actually be useful only to put so many conditions on it so we don’t dare use it to save a tank. Forget the Tank! What about the squishy Healer that tends to get slammed by pulling agro or more likely someone trying out their new Agro dumping mechanic. HEY! YOU GUYS!! Leave agro dumping to the class that invented it. Hunters! We have had years to learn how to master Feign Death and now every Tom, Dick and Harry has some form of Agro dump.
Oh! Need I even touch on how much everyone is whining over the cooldown to Lock and Load? Don’t you guys get it. Here let me be very clear about how this is going to work. 1. Add cooldown. 2. keep track of proc percentage. 3. Extend/lower cooldown hoping to increase proc rate. 4. Increase proc percentage t some ungodly high number but increase the cooldown so Rogues and Pally’s won’t QQ to the CMs about us Hunters being OP!
So here’s the deal. Let’s stop the QQing Hunters. Let’s get off our lazy, self absorbed, overstuff, downy butts and realize we play a game and that game is meant to be fun not srsbizness.
(NOTE: These views are expressly those of Graugauch. Graugauch has no real affiliation with The Hunting Lodge other than Brigwyn has lost control of him and he managed to get to the keyboard. We can’t help but admit that there might be some trute to what Graugauch says, nor can we deny that there might be some inaccuracies. We’ll let Brig know that Grau escaped, but we’re not entirely sure we’ll be able to shove him back into the dark. But we’ll try.)
