Recently we have seen an influx of changes being introduced into the game. The upcomming Patch 3.2 changes are proving to be uninspiring. The Hunter Q&A was only seemed to lead to more questions than answering the ones we had really wanted asked.
But even as we face these challenges brought to the class today and tomorrow I still have a dream. I still have a dream that is rooted deeply in the optimism and hope of every Hunter.
I have a dream that one day this class will rise up and play out the true meaning of its role: “…[T]he only real ranged damage-dealer that focuses on (mostly) physical damage based on a weapon rather than cast-time based spells.”
I have a dream that one day on the white moutain tops of Gnomergon, the sons of former infected Leper Gnomes and the sons of exiled Gnomish Engineers will be able to sit down together and leave Ironforge.
I have a dream that one day even Barrens chat, a channel infected with bad Chuck Norris jokes, infected with bad ‘Yo mamma” jokes, will be transformed into an oasis of knowledge and intelligence.
I have a dream that new Hunters will one day play in a game where they will not be judged by the color of their gear but by the skill of their play.
I have a dream today! I have a dream that one day, down in Icecrown, with its vicious mobs, with the Lich King having his lips dripping with the words of “Domination” and “Vengence” — one day right there in Icecrown green Orcs and blue Trolls will be able to join hands with Purple Night Elves and Blue Draenei as Hunters!
I have a dream today! I have a dream that one day every Hunter shall be exalted, and every Warlock and Death Knight shall be nerfed, the Druids will be tamed, and the crooked Rogues will be made to play without Stealth; and the glory of the Hunter shall be revealed and all other players shall see it as fun and true.
Yes, this was based on the great speech “I have a dream” by the late and great Dr. Martin Luther King.
