Hey there! I just wanted to let you guys know about the fun we had last week over on the Azeroth United Livestream last week.  We were truly honored to have an opportunity to interview Kristin Lindsay.   (Just in case you’re wondering, she’s the head honcho over at Child’s Play, that’s right the Project Manager for the whole she-bang.)

(Listen, Download the  Kristin Lindsay Interview (13) or pick it up on the RSS Feed, iTunes or Zune Market Place.)

Let me tell you, don’t let that Elvis pompadour wig fool you.  She’s one seriously awesome and amazing lady doing awesome and amazing things.

She’s managed to grow Child’s Play to supporting over 60 children’s hospitals worldwide.  Even adding 7 more in the U.S. and Canada this year making that number closer to 67 children’s hospitals.

Add to that coordinating events like the Child’s Play Annual Charity Dinner Auction it’s a wonder she has any kind of life at all. Yet, she does.

We learned Kristin’s an elite healer that’s currently raiding Ulduar heroic hardmodes.  We can overlook the fact that she recently took advantage of the race change ( switched from dwarf to dranei).  Add to all of this a family to help take care of and I think she could trade that wig in and qualify for a shiny red cape.

Of course we didn’t just spend all of our time learning about Kristin.  We also learned some important thing about Child’s Play and how they operate.  For example, we learned that Child’s Play is a super organization that has managed to use technology and leverage partnerships with companies like Amazon.com to keep operating expenses to under 5%!!

Think about it.  For every $1 you donate,  $.95 of that donation goes straight to making a child’s stay in a hospital a a little less scary and intimidating.  Don’t you want to be a part of that?

Well you can, while your listening to our interview with Kristin, and learning if Gabe really does have a glass eye or if Tycho Brahe is truly possessed by some dark spectres, you can show your support for Child’s Play by clicking and donating using the Chip-in in the sidebar.

Also remember, if you donate $10 or $20 you’ll qualify for a chance at winning some amazing prizes as part of Azeroth United’s Hearts Hands and Voices for Child’s Play charity event.
