Earlier this week I got some sad news. One of our own, Jonathan Glyer, Tesson was tragically killed in an accident at work.
His wife of over 10 years sent an email to his close friends over on Gray Hats. It’s a truly touching tribute that all of us can only hope to receive some day. It also will help explain the circumstances of Tesson’s accident. I really encourage you to click over, read it and leave your comments for his family and friends over there.
Tesson’s death (I can’t bring myself to all him Jon because I only knew him as Tess or Tesson.) really was a blow. Not the kind of blow you have from losing family or a lifelong friend. But a significant blow nonetheless.
See, Tesson is responsible for Jorgan the Worgan. Now, this might not mean much to you. And honestly at the time it was a just a screen capture I had received during the whole Worgan taming debacle. So I used it for my post.

WOW! You would have thought I gave the guy a winning Powerball ticket or something. Tess was ecstatic that I had used his picture. After that we had traded tweets, barbs, jokes. All the things you do with a new friend on the Net.
But unlike most friends, Internet or even the closes and most personal ones, I can’t remember ever hearing Tesson say one negative thing. Honestly! I can’t remember Tesson ever saying anything that wasn’t remotely positive, humorous or just didn’t make me chuckle, laugh or at the least smile.
Because his enthusiasm, humor and seemingly never ending positive happy attitude is now not going to be there, I find myself truly regretting not getting to know Jon instead of just Tesson. I won’t have that opportunity now, but I am glad I had the opportunity, short as it was, to call Tesson my friend.
I continue to pray for his widow and family. I ask that you do the same, even if pray to you is to take a moment of silence.
